Barcelona Ready for Inaugural Fixture at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend
Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in domestic competition over two years since relocating to allow renovations to start.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. The club said completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.
Recent Activities
Barça organized a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou earlier this month. Officials stated they are seeking authorization by UEFA to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December at the stadium. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
