Football Expert Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Murs in Premier League Forecasts
Arsenal's 10-game winning run came to an end by the Black Cats prior to the global break, but will the English top division leaders recover against local foes Spurs this weekend?
"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.
"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."
The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, versus AI, fans and a range of special visitors.
In the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.
The singer's latest record, Knees Up, is out on the weekend.
Soccer and Parenting Life
Olly is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a star of several Soccer Aid games down the years - but he is not planning a serious return as a footballer.
"{I actually played in a benefit game the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!
"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.
"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."
The singer and his spouse his partner have a young family, their daughter and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their manager.
"I won't force football on our children but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their Saturday football side," he added.
"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a soccer team for a while too.
"My father did it with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I inherited it. He coached our team for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"
Premier League Predictions
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea may have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their offense is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.
I still think this game will be quite tight, however. Burnley are well organised and their sole at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.
It suggests a 1-1 tie to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.
Sutton's prediction: 1-2
The singer's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have lost their past two games - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which surprised me.
On the other hand, West Ham secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear strong again.
West Ham's only on the road victory this campaign came at Forest in August, when West Ham boss Nuno was previously Forest manager.
So, what on earth do I predict here - will it be the Hammers continuing their streak under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?
I will go with the Cherries, because I think what happened against Villa was a blip.
The pundit's prediction: 2-0
The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have picked up under Nuno. 2-2
The algorithm's pick: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for the drop before the campaign started, but they have impressed a few people under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three in their last four matches.
My son advised me to select Bees forward Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.
The forward will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to select him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.
The Bees have not had great success on the road this season, and Brighton are consistently strong at their stadium. The visitors will try to attack on the break but I think the home manager's side carry much more of a danger.
The analyst's forecast: 2-1
Olly's view: It could be a match where you think there is going to be a many goals but it in reality proves to be rather tight. 1-1
The computer's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a huge fixture for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.
They have have plenty of talent in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.
Regarding Sunderland, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.
The away side's performance in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We've not witnessed any other team disrupt the North London side like that this season, and they were more than a match for them.
The logical choice to do to support the visitors here, because they are obviously able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they defeated the Blues at the end of last month.
However I am not choose that. Instead, I really need to continue opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good outcomes because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.
Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage form, the only side they have lost to is Arsenal. Their manager's side will be absolutely eager for a positive result, so I am going to say they will pick up three much-needed points.
Sutton's forecast: 1-0
The guest's prediction: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and also that the hosts are on a poor run... but Fulham have nonetheless been decent at home this campaign. 2-0
AI's outlook: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
This is a tough fixture to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their last ten games in all competitions, but might they be among the sides who benefit from the {international break|
