Tributes Pour In for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

Over a fortnight following the shocking loss of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues are still paying respects to the couple.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, stated he finally felt ready to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Sufficient time has elapsed that I can finally articulate my loss into words," shared Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner made him fall in love. "Once we started passing more hours together I understood this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor shared never-before-seen clips from the film, commenting that he doesn't recollect "any day without joy".

"This story is about affection, allegiance and giving. Values that Rob cherished deeply. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to helm it," Elwes wrote.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "To say that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I recall you." He concluded with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Colleague and Comrade

In a different tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the lead role.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with his co-stars, and he grasped the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles judge ruled to block the disclosure of the Reiners' autopsy reports, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A judicial mandate issued a embargo on the files to limit the public release of "related notes, evidence and photographs" associated with the active case.

The relevant authority had previously confirmed their deaths were the result of homicide, with a public database citing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Aftermath and Reactions

In the wake of the deaths, public figures expressed varying responses.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, providing divisive statements that were broadly criticized by many public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his criticism to the those speaking out last week. Conversing on his show, Rogan characterized the statements as "disappointing" and implied they revealed a concerning lack of empathy.

Rogan finished by remarking that an aide ought to have intervened when the decision to weigh in on the passing was made.
